Academic Research/Purpose
Bridge the gap between academic researchers, industry professionals, and athletics administration to create a unified approach that truly benefits young women athletes by ensuring vital information is shared and understood across all sectors.
Elevate academic researchers as leaders and storytellers in the women’s sports world, recognizing and promoting their essential role in shaping the future of women’s athletics.
Highlight and preserve the rich history of women in sports, athletics, and physical culture, ensuring that as women’s sports gain more attention, the deeper significance beyond financial gains is not lost.
Promote global understanding and equity by acknowledging the diverse experiences of women in sport and physical activity worldwide, and exploring how research and advocacy can support women in underrepresented and developing regions.
My current dissertation work is focused on early athletic training at the University of Texas at Austin.
